EW Operational Support: Meeting the Future Threat

18 Nov 2020
Track 2

EW Operations have become an integral part of any military campaign.  The proliferation of advanced threat weapon systems which leverage digital technology and employ novel engagement techniques, coupled with widespread integration of sensors and effectors has produced an extremely hostile and dynamic Electronic Battlespace.

Traditional EW Operational Support is neither sophisticated nor responsive enough to provide comprehensive support in the current and future threat environments and so a radical overhaul of processes, technology and SME support is required.

The purpose of this presentation is to explain the rational driving the development of an entirely new concept of preparing aircraft for operations in a highly contested and congested EW battlespace.
