Lieutenant Colonel Fogarty has served in the British Army for 24 years and held a number of EWSI roles, including his current post as Commanding Officer 14 Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare). He has served with a number of high readiness formations, including 16 Air Assault Brigade, the Gurkha Signals, an exchange post with the Norwegian Signals as well as Company Command at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Operationally he has deployed to Bosnia, Iraq and Estonia. He was the lead capability officer, responsible for the delivery of mounted and dismounted ECM(FP) suites in Afghanistan. He holds an MSc in Communications and Information Systems an MRes, which focussed on how the UK MOD could achieve Information Advantage aligned to its people, process and technology and is currently studying for an MSc in Cyberspace operations. He has spoken previously at the AOC in 2017 about operationalising CEMA.
